8 Questions with………actress Jamie Ohlsen

The Inner Circle

Its 2:47 pm

Welcome to “8 Questions with…….”

Two things struck me about our next guest, actress Jamie Ohlsen, one ….she looks like a complete badass that you want to share a foxhole with in a fight. Anyone that would think about messing with her should think twice,no..make that three times before making that step.
Two,she has a lovely smile and really beautiful eyes. And why would any director try and hide that smile should be dragged out back and meet the cheetah up close and personal.  Yeah,Jamie has that kind of smile…
But she is also fearless as well…because at a age when most performers have established a career already,Jamie decided to START hers and how it happened is one of those kind of starts you only can get in Hollywood. Now she has been cast in a series on Amazon Prime, rubbing elbows with a huge favorite of indie actors,Robert…

8 Questions with actor Josh Han

The Inner Circle

Its 1:43 pm
cold and sunny

I recently passed the 100th episode of doing “8 Questions with….” on my YouTube channel. Naturally I am so far behind in moving those shows from YouTube to here.
My wiring is so beyond confusion sometimes and I do miss me as I used to be…..
But this entry is all about my friend Josh Han,we have chatted on here on the blog and I have reviewed some of his of work and interviewed Josh here on the blog.
When I decided to switch 8 Questions to YouTube,I had a small list of some folks I wanted to chat with face to face and Josh was one of them. So I reached out and asked him and he agreed to come on up and this is our chat.
When I first started the series,I would go up 30 minutes to welcome the chat and…

Once again I was out and about doing a little movie hunting. Unlike many websites,I review movies that I buy. No studio sends me anything and I don’t have a YouTube channel where I do vlogs.
Nope,I do this the old fashioned way,I either find short films on YouTube or Vimeo that catch my attention or I go shopping at Family Video,Goodwill or wait for Dollar Tree to drop a shipment of titles. The rule is I can’t spend more then a 1.50 on any title. I also try not to review “blockbusters” or major mainstream releases.
I really loved the comment that my fellow blogger Heidi left on my “The Night Crew” review.

“Your blog always clues me in on stuff I haven’t seen.”

I guess that is what is fun about doing this series here, sharing the unknown with folks who like movies as much as…

Library Day!!

The cheetah and I are up early today,we are getting ready for Library Day. The Rodger Young is in drydock but a friend is graciously picking me up today. We’re listening to our friend Jami Heart who is a fellow YouTuber as she is sharing the Twin Peaks fan movie she was asked to appear in. I am listening to it like a radio show as I type this out.
A VERY long time ago I had considered doing a series here called Dollar Tree Theater,I had the name but I never did the series. Dollar Tree does several film sales a year now and its a great place to blind buy some movies one has never heard of,many are low budget horror films or indie films. But with each sale, the selection has gotten rather better with hit films as well as TV series…

8 Questions with…………actress Johanna Rae

The Inner Circle

It is 12:15 am

Welcome to “8 Questions with……”

I have known our next guest Johanna Rae for a while now. We became friends on Twitter and swapped tweets back and forth. The one constant thing I caught on about Johanna is she is always cheerful and upbeat. Now of course we all have our down days and she is no different but you never see it with Johanna. She is always on the go as well, traveling to various sites and places in Los Angeles and putting out that positive energy which is so needed in these times.
But make no mistake about it,Johanna is a hard working actress as well and she isn’t just another beautiful face, the lady has some chops as we found out when we reviewed the short film she appeared in called “Lilitu”,which has been one of the best shorts we have watched this year.
Johanna…

8 Questions With…..artist Angela of Morbid Heart Designs

   Welcome to 8 Questions with…….

So doing a live interview series is a lot of fun and as I write this,we are approaching doing our 100th episode. Doing 3 shows a week (sometimes more, sometimes less) allows a quick build up of past shows and it’s high time to transfer the episodes to here.
So today’s guest is the wonderful artist Angela who has her own company called “Morbid Heart Designs” and she is based in the Northwest. She has a website and she also goes to various craft-art shows as well as conventions. I was really excited to get her on the show and she was a tremendous guest and even as of today she still ranks in the top 10 most viewed interview.
After hosting Angela and it doing so well,it encouraged me to book more artists on the show…

Have Cheetah,Will View #488 “Santa Jaws” (2018)

The Inner Circle

So its Christmas time and that means its time for the cheetah and I to watch some Christmas films.
I decided that we should watch a movie we were supposed to review LAST year but somehow got skipped over. But better late then never, right?? So we went downstairs and pulled “Santa Jaws” and prepared for the worse.

The movie starts with a crazed man dressed up as Santa holding a woman hostage and a tough hero type attempting to rescue her. They toss one liners at each other and begin to fight. As they do,a great white shark is spotted swiming towards the dock where the two men are fighting.  After a brief struggle,Santa thug is pushed into the water where he becomes shark bait. As the hero unties his girl, the Santa hat floats to the top of the water which in turns lands on the dorsal fin of…

The Inner Circle

It’s 10:00 pm

Welcome to 8 Questions with……

Whew,it’s been a while since I have since I done a written interview here on my blog.
When I approached actress/acting coach Kari Nissena about doing this interview,I was pleasantly surprised that she requested it be done via print and I had no problem with that.
Of course it has taken 5 days for me to finish this interview and post it but trust me,when you meet Kari,it will be worth the read to see how she approaches her craft and uses her skills to help other actors beome better performers. So on that note, allow me to step aside and let Kari answer her 8 Questions!!

Please introduce yourself and tell us a little about your newest/current project

Have Cheetah,Will View #47 – “The Shadow Riders” (1982)

The Inner Circle

It’s 10:23 pm

Its been hot as blazes here in SE Michigan this week. The cheetah and myself have been doing some yard work, okay…I have been doing the yard work and Paladin has been supervising through the patio door. He is a bit upset that the last two films we have watched have either scared him or made him toss up his treats.
So when I told him we would watch a great western,he was a little wary….we watched his namesake in “Have Gun,Will Travel” but he also endured 20 minutes of Kevin Sorbo’s “Jesse James: Lawman” which was beyond terrible.
To calm his fears,I told I had snagged a copy of 1982’s “The Shadow Riders”while hunting at Disc Replay. I told him it had Sam Elliott and Tom Selleck and that was good enough for him.

So why are we reviewing a 35 year old TV movie? Because its…

The Round Table Series – “The Mummy” (2017)

The Inner Circle

Its 12:43 pm

At the start of the week,an announcement came out that Universal Studios and Blumhouse are to team up and re-launch the Dark Universe that was conceived and launched in 2014 with Luke Evans starring in “Dracula Untold”.
Produced for 70 million,”Dracula Untold” made over 215 million dollars at the box office and seem to indicate that the Dark Universe could have a bright future. This led Universal to make a bold move by casting Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe in “The Mummy” remake in 2017. Expecting a massive breakout hit,”The Mummy” instead bombed at the theater and received poor reviews and just like that, the Dark Universe concept was dead.
About three weeks ago,I asked several film bloggers and film buffs to come together and offer their perspective on why “The Mummy” failed and how should have Universal proceeded in launching their franchise. Of course I had…
